Sarah Palin Pregnancy:Palin Baby Bristol Palin Baby

Sarah Palin Pregnancy:Palin Baby Bristol Palin Baby - When Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin became Republican presidential nominee John McCain’s vice president on Friday, some said youpi and others said who? Apparently the tabloids said the latter and decided to start digging to get a response. Here is what surfaced : Sarah Palin may be facing a baby scandal because she allegedly pretended to have her daughter’s Bristol Palin kid.To make a very long story short here are the following facts (Courtesy of Daily Kos):

– On March 6th, Sarah announced she’s seven month pregnant. Even close members of her staff were surprised.
– Her water broke one month before Trig was due, but she kept a previous speaking engagement in Texas and then flew 8 hours to Alaska. No one on board noticed that Sarah was going into labor either. The flight lands in Anchorage, Alaska. Instead of visiting a medical facility that can accommodate a premature birth in Alaska’s most equipped city, she drives 45 minutes away to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, right outside the small village she used to govern as Mayor, Wasilla.
– On April 18, 2008, Trig was born one month premature. Sarah returned to work after three days. (Trig was diagnosed with Down’s syndrome while still in the womb.)
– Trig is not Sarah’s son, but grandson. It was her 16-year-old daughter Bristol (pictured right) who was carrying. (80% of the cases of Down’s Syndrome are in mothers under the age of 35.)
– Family had taken Bristol out of Anchorage High School due to contracting “infectious mononucleosis”. Reports say she was absent from school for five to eight months. Mono can last anywhere from two weeks to three months.

In the video below posted in February (nearing five months of pregnancy at the time), Sarah looks thin and not too pregnant.Hey,this may be a smear campaign by Aliens or something in that nature.
But if this drama is real,Sarah should have thought of protecting her family before exposing them to the intense media scrutiny that they are now facing as newcomers to the national politic scene.
Ask Obama about getting hit 24/7 on his former church.

Gov. Sarah Palin Ready To Lead?

Gov. Sarah Palin Ready To Lead?

Gov. Sarah Palin Ready To Lead? - An Alaskan news paper published an article with the burning question that is on everybody’s mind, minus John McCain of course : is Gov. Sarah Palin ready to replace the president if needed? The Anchorage Daily News wrote:

It’s stunning that someone with so little national and international experience might be heartbeat away from the presidency.
Gov. Palin is a classic Alaska story. She is an example of the opportunity our state offers to those with talent, initiative and determination…
McCain picked Palin despite a recent blemish on her ethically pure resume. While she was governor, members of her family and staff tried to get her ex-brother-in-law fired from the Alaska State Troopers. Her public safety commissioner would not do so; she forced him out, supposedly for other reasons. While she runs for vice-president, the Legislature has an investigator on the case.
For all those advantages, Palin joins the ticket with one huge weakness: She’s a total beginner on national and international issues.
Gov. Palin will have to spend the next two months convincing Americans that she’s ready to be a heartbeat away from the presidency….

Here are my two cents. Was it wise for John McCain who is 72 years old,to choose a woman VP pick in hopes of solely getting him the Hillary Clinton PUMA votes? I thought age was supposed to bring wisdom.
Maybe having experience is not that important because there are plenty of the so-called experts/specialists who could be recruited as advisers to both the president and the VP.
They certainly advised Bush well.
